Owner and Operator, Nicholas Steffen began his career in construction as a carpenter, over the following decade he dedicated himself to the trade gradually progressing from a framer, to a commercial framer, to an interior trim carpenter where he found his niche. Through the years he developed his stem company Optimum Builders Co. Years down the line have completed over 1,000 independent projects. Performing a host of high-end interior woodwork, Optimum Builders has built a large portfolio of high-end interior woodwork on projects across the Front Range.

 

From custom cabinet construction to historic restoration, we have been involved in a large variety of specialty projects as well as comprehensive interior trim contracts of large residential construction projects. He felt so drawn to the trade work and solving technical integration obstacles; and saw the importance of performing his own trade-work on our own independent projects that he maintained his Sub-Contract interior carpentry and cabinetry sector as he developed Optimum Builders as a high-end residential contractor. Managing and performing the majority of the carpentry elements in-house allows for seamless communication from our project preparation team, to our project management, to the tradesmen performing the work. This flow of communication and focus on foresight keeps the customer’s vision in the forefront amongst the complexity of the process.
